Visit Well’s Gray, Canada’s Waterfall Park, with step-on guide Tay Briggs, an accomplished naturalist and a Registered Professional Forester. Tay was raised on a working ranch bordering Wells Gray Park and has spent her entire life living and working in the wilderness. Ancient volcanoes and moving glaciers carved the rivers and lakes that fuel the park’s waterfalls. It’s BC’s third-largest park, with 1.3 million acres. Well’s Gray, a unique BC landscape, has the world’s only old-growth inland temperate rainforest. Visit Helmcken Falls and watch it plunge into a dramatic canyon 470ft in height. Helmcken Falls is a waterfall almost unlike any other you’ve seen or experienced. Located in the Thompson Nicola region of interior BC. It’s the place where two mountain ranges, the Caribou and Shuswap Mountains, intersect. This beautiful area of lakes, forests, mountains and rivers is centred around the vast wilderness preserve of Wells Gray Provincial Park and the town of Clearwater. Tay will show us highlights of the park with easy access to viewing platforms and short walks. Visit several waterfalls, Ray Farm, an abandoned homestead with warm springs. Enjoy a boat ride on Clearwater Lake, with lunch overlooking the lake.
