Spend three nights away from the city lights at Southern Lakes Resort, situated amidst the boreal forest on a calm side arm of Tagish Lake. Lean back, put your feet up and take a position in front of the large panoramic windows of your cabin. Let the Northern Lights unfold right before your eyes. Begin your adventure in Dawson City and visit the historic Downtown Hotel. Join them for dinner at the local favourite Drunken Goat Taverna, and later that night, cross the frozen Yukon River by mini coach, head to a comfortable, heated viewing site to experience the way up north Northern Lights! The next day, take a Dawson City narrated walking / historic buildings tour, enjoy a delicious dinner with a northern flare at the Aurora Inn, and later join our local guides for another Aurora Borealis Tour. Following breakfast, see and hear about ‘Life in the Klondike’ Dawson City, the Klondike Gold Fields, and the top of the Midnight Dome before a private transfer to the airport. Travel to Whitehorse for two nights at the Gold Rush Inn situated close to our hand-picked dinner restaurants, Giorgio’s Cuccina, Burnt Toast and the celebrated Macbride Museum for a guided tour. Local Whitehorse guide take us on an educational narrated van tour of greater Whitehorse and a tour of the Yukon Wildlife Preserve before our private transfer to Southern Lakes Resort on Tagish Lake. Hearty and fresh, Southern Lakes Resort Chef’s seasonal creations take you on a culinary journey with Swiss roots. Activities include snowshoeing, a slow and peaceful activity bringing you up close to life in the far north’s boreal forest. Tagish Lake Kennel Tours provides a craddled, safe and comfortable dog sledding experience that departs right from Southern Lakes Resort.
