Fly from Gold River by Beaver aircraft into Hesquiat Harbour to spend the day with Cougar Annie’s Garden on a guided tour of the remarkable homestead carved from the wilderness by Ada Annie Rae-Arthur—famous for her fearless spirit, thriving nursery, and unforgettable encounters with cougars and bears. June is prime time to visit, when the garden bursts into full bloom, and the boardwalks are alive with colour. Please note: guests should be comfortable walking up to 2 km on uneven boardwalks and natural trails, including approximately 120–150 stairs spread throughout the visit. Enjoy a Day Cruise aboard the MV Uchuck III for a voyage down the Muchalat Inlet and Nootka Sound to Friendly Cove Historical Site.
